How It's Made-Suits
Today they will show you how Suits are made! The man's suit of clothes is a garment, that is crafted from the same cloth. The English word suit derives from the French suivre, "to follow", ie trousers and waistcoat follow the coat's cloth and colour. There have been various styles of suit, the most common of which is the lounge suit, sometimes called a business suit, which originated in England as beachwear. The other type of suit still (rarely) worn today is the morning suit. This article discusses the lounge suit, which is classified as "informal" in the hierarchy of dress codes. Its variants, such as two- and three- piece, or single- and double- breasted, are garments the design, cut, and cloth of which determine their social and work suitability. Tips For Women Looking For Business Suits
A professional woman's wardrobe is not complete without a suit. It is because this type of clothing does not only project competence and professionalism, but also gives an elegant look. If you are among those women looking for a well-fitted business suit, the following tips may help you.
Step 1- Pick a suit pattern and color.
If you are a newbie in buying a business suit, it would be better if you pick classic colors like black, gray, and navy. If you choose a patterned suit, make sure the patterns line up the shoulders and seams of the lapels.
Step 2- Select a suit fabric.
High-quality worsted wool can last for seasons. Avoid combinations of fabrics with too much polyester. Crumple the fabric and see if it bounces back or wrinkles. Make sure the suit does not wrinkle easily.
Step 3- Choose a jacket style.
The single-breasted suit is the most common jacket style. However, double-breasted suits are also available. The pockets can be patch, flap, or besom (slit). Patch pockets are casual while besom pockets provide a formal look.
Step 4- Decide whether you buy a pantsuit, skirted suit, or both.
A pantsuit is an acceptable women's business attire, but skirted suit is more appropriate for business events. If you can afford, buy one skirted suit and a pantsuit. This way, you will not be forced to wear skirted suit for casual business events.
When looking for a pantsuit, choose the style that best fits you. If you want to have a dressy look and move freely, go for the pants with pleats. But if you are an overweight woman, choose flat-front pants, which are slimming. Cuffed pants add weight to the suit and look more formal. If you are tall, avoid wearing uncuffed pants that will just elongate your legs, making you look even taller.
Step 5- Fit the jacket.
Don't forget to fit the jacket to see its appropriateness. Make sure the collar is positioned flat against the back of your neck. Shoulders must be lightly padded and neither too sloped nor boxy. Sleeves should reveal at least ¼ or ½ inch of the dress cuff or fall five inches above the tip of a woman's thumb.
Step 6¬- Fit the pants or skirt.
Make sure that the skirt or pants perfectly fit you and don't keep you from moving. However, you must be able to slip two fingers under your waistline and pull at least one inch of excess fabric on your hip. To make the skirt fall straight, choose the one with back zippers. Remember, side zippers don't help a skirt to fall more smoothly. Pay attention to the crotch area of the pants, which ensure that it lies perfectly flat adjacent to your body.
